Anyone who has been to Alpbach knows why this picturesque village has received awards such as "Austria's Most Beautiful Village" and "Europe's Most Beautiful Flower Village."
Since 1945, Alpbach has also been the venue for the Alpbach European Forum, an annual two-week conference of leading figures from the worlds of science, business, the arts and politics. The Forum and the participation of so many people who have shaped the thinking of their times has given Alpbach the nickname, "The Village Of Thinkers."
You can also drop by Nobel Prize winner Erwin Schrödinger as he lies buried in the Alpbach cemetery.
Alpbach is a mere 90 minutes from Munich airport (MUC). The trip from the airport in Innsbruck (IBK), the capital of the Tyrol, takes 45 minutes.
If you opt to arrive by train, the train station in Wörgl is just a 25 minute trip.
You will need to secure your own flights as these will not be covered by Barracuda. However, as soon as you touch down, you can rely on us to arrange everything else. Transfers to and from the airport/train station will be arranged for you by Barracuda.
