What if there isn't a link light on the WAN/LAN/ethernet/network port of the Barracuda Web Filter or Barracuda Web Application Firewall?
Appplies to all Barracuda Web Filters and Web Application Firewalls, all firmware versions.
If there is no link light on the network port of the Barracuda Webfilter, and you've connected the other end of the cable to another machine (like a firewall, switch, or a router), make sure you are either:
- Using a straight through Ethernet cable, and attaching it to the firewall's, switch's, or router's uplink port.
- Using a crossover Ethernet cable, and attaching it to a standard port on the firewall, swtich, or router.
