How do I use a custom NTP server with any Barracuda Networks product?

Scope:
This solution applies to all Barracuda Networks products using the standard interface (Spam Firewall, Web Filter, Message Archiver, etc).

Answer:
Barracuda Networks products synchronize their system time using Network Time Protocol (NTP). By default, a Barracuda unit is configured to communicate with the Barracuda Networks update server to synchronize the system time. If the Barracuda unit is behind a network firewall, please be sure that the Barracuda unit is allowed port 123 UDP access outbound through the firewall.

The Barracuda unit may be configured to use an alternate NTP server, if preferred. To make this change, please follow the following instructions by product:

Spam Firewall (Firmware 3.5 and below) : Please contact Technical Support for assistance in changing the server.
Spam Firewall (Firmware 4.0 and higher) : Advanced > Advanced Networking
Link Balancer: Advanced > Advanced IP Config
Other Products: Please contact Technical Support for assistance in changing the server.
