Manage Hybrid Cloud / On-Premises Environments
Unless your organization was “born in the cloud,” your journey to the cloud involves a “lift and shift” process in which you begin by taking on-premise VMs and moving them to cloud-based VMs (VPCs is another term). In many cases, there are portions of your infrastructure such as legacy applications that can’t be migrated to Azure. As a result, you must be able to manage security across a hybrid infrastructure.
Even if you leverage Azure Stack, which lets you duplicate your Azure environment on-premises, you are still running a hybrid model. And even if you are 100% cloud-based, you may have a need to run multiple clouds – including Azure for some applications, your own private cloud for others, and sometimes other third-party clouds. The cloud is a world of great choices.
The downside of multiple choices is the tendency to wind up with multiple vendors providing different solutions in each of these ecosystems, particularly when it comes to security. The result often increases complexity and limits flexibility.
This is where Barracuda is different: Barracuda CloudGen Firewalls and WAFs provide a consistent user experience across hybrid environments. Our CloudGen Firewalls and WAFs can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud or both. Our Cloud Control Centers provide a single pane-of-glass interface, allowing multiple instances to be managed regardless of how they are deployed.
